Light installation
De Ceuvel, a collaborative space in Amsterdam, asked me to contribute to their annual light festival.
Since many project planners used the area to discuss the development of the surrounding neighbourhoods. I designed a beacon commemorating the Amsterdam school of architecture. This school made a point of building beautiful homes for the lower classes to enrich their lives. Inside the fixture is a revolving converging mirror to create a subtle lighthouse effect.
The beacon was such a success that it has remained in place after the festival
