Video work
As a part of my exploration on perception, I created a fast-moving steel wheel. The wheel comes to live as a video work. The inner workings of the shutter in a camera bend the spokes to a new perspective. By playing with the speed of the wheel, a mesmerising cadence shows itself.
In a live show there is a play between the speed of the wheel and the frequency of lights shining on the wheel. Turning spokes into surfaces and changing their direction.
